Are you looking for a way to display something important? Printing with Infinity Board is a fantastic option to create lightweight photo prints without sacrificing quality. Read on to learn about a recent project we helped create for the Luce Museum at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
About The Print
The main background print was a 1/2″ Infinity Board direct print. Five 1/4″ Kodak Metallic photo prints were mounted to acrylic, then adhered to the backboard with variable depth custom Infinity Board spacers for a layered look.
After assembling this print, the entire piece had a Museum Back frame added for wall mounting.
About the Project
From Patricia Ballweg, Archives Assistant at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville:
Through research, our archivist James Hubbard was aware of the 1959 Kennedy campaign visit to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. In the early 2000’s, James was able to locate and acquire the podium, which at that time was being used for commencement services. The podium now sits on display in the Luce Museum at UW-Platteville overseen by the Southwest Wisconsin Room.
With the decision to update the Kennedy display, I enlisted the help of graphic designer Nicole Felder. With her design in place, I looked for a company who would be able to bring the vision to fruition. Artisan HD offered the types of materials and size of design we were looking for.
The final product is exceptional and is a cornerstone of the UW-Platteville Luce Museum.
Thank you to all who made this possible!
