The largest print available is 10ft x 10ft print, however, you can combine several 10ft x 10ft prints to make a larger print. How big you go depends on how much space you have and your preference for whitespace/picture balance.

There are three main differences between vinyl wallpaper and traditional wallpaper, durability, ease of installation and cost. Vinyl wallpaper is more durable but can be slightly harder to mount (it’s heavier than traditional wallpaper) and is more expensive because it’s printed on a stronger material.

For custom canvas prints, you can choose between gloss, semi-gloss or matte finishes. The most popular is semi-gloss as it can do best in the widest range of lighting environments. For bright rooms, matte finishes typically do better whereas in lower light rooms gloss does better.

Wallpaper is the original wall-covering made out of sturdy paper, wall wraps are typically made out of a more durable vinyl material, and wall murals are usually painted directly onto the wall. While they all have their virtues, for a long-lasting and versatile wall-coverings wall wraps are seen as the superior choice for custom wall coverings.

Most custom print jobs are considered to be “large format” if they have at least one side over 36 inches (3 feet). Artisan HD can print up to a 10 x 10 feet and for larger prints can create several 10 x 10 prints that can be put together (most popular for wall coverings or extra-large signage of some type).

Whether or not your image can translate into a high-definition print depends on the pixels per square inch (PPI) of the image file and the dots per square inch of the printed image. At least 300 PPI is best, though depending on the size and image that can range between 150 – 300 PPI. DPI must be at least 300 DPI with the best definition achieved with printers that can produce between 300 – 600 DPI.

You have many choices in art mediums for custom prints. Acrylic has become a popular choice because it provides many of the advantages of metal prints (can be printed directly to the substrate or face-mounted and is similarly durable) but is more lightweight so it’s easier to ship and hang on the wall.

Contact us ASAP and keep the box for the carrier’s claim. We’ll replace your print and keep you updated. Report defects or damage by email within 10 days of delivery to avoid waiving your claim. By accepting the print, you acknowledge ArtisanHD fulfilled all requirements.
Artisan HD begins work on your print the moment you submit your order so if you cancel withing 24hrs we can refund your money right away.
If you’re not 100% satisfied with your prints contact us within 10 days of receiving your order to return the item. I created a 400 picture mosaic from 20 years of high resolution pictures and needed to get a large size, high resolution print for framing. This is my gift to my wife for our 20th anniversary. I found Artisan through a Google search and was extremely happy with the ease of uploading my large size picture (>150 MB Tiff) and to pick the best photo paper. The print arrived several days earlier than expected and looked fantastic. The resolution and colors were great and it looks wonderful in its frame.

In today’s world, most images end up lost in a sea similar images on social media. When you print, you get to touch and feel real photographs. ArtisanHD not only prints your images, they offer many alternatives to just printing. I print mostly on a home (if you are not printing, you are not photographing) printer. I use ArtisanHD for those occasions when I really want to make a statement with my image. They turned out better than I imagined. The first time I worked with ArtisanHD I brought in a big sheet of old, rusted metal and asked, “Can you print on this?” They immediately took me right back to the print shop, checked out the piece of steel and ultimately said, “No, it’s not flat enough and would probably break our machines.”
The quick answer was, “No.”
But the point here is that they didn’t sigh and shake their heads and say, “We don’t do that kind of thing.” They took the time to consider my request without rushing me out the door because they were in a hurry to get on to a large corporate customer. In fact, they said, “ Bring in a flatter piece of steel and we’ll give it a try.” Which I did, and they did print on metal, and my oddball artistic idea became a reality.
I certainly understand that there are limitations. But where ArtisanHD is not limited is in imagination. They have that unique openness of thought that gives them the ability to work beyond arbitrary limits. Maybe more importantly, they have the creative agility to bring an artist’s concept to life.
I’m a very, very small client for ArtisanHD. They don’t make much money from my little corner of the art world, but you sure can’t tell that by the way I’m treated. The personal attention they give me is unmatched in my experience. I think they kind of like the challenges that wacky artists bring to them. The fact is, the people I’ve worked with here are artists themselves and have that wonderful openness to “what if”.
In my estimation, all business should be considered a partnership, not a transaction; a sharing of expertise, not a limiting of possibilities by pre-conceptions; a respect for what each brings to the table; a joy of being involved in the process.
To me ArtisanHD has met and exceeded what I believe a good partnership should be.

ArtisanHD recently mounted a photograph that will be included in one of my Fiber and Photograph art pieces. The photo was applied to acrylic and special holes were drilled, two processes I had done in the past but am so glad to have a professional now do.
