I created a 400 picture mosaic from 20 years of high resolution pictures and needed to get a large size, high resolution print for framing. This is my gift to my wife for our 20th anniversary. I found Artisan through a Google search and was extremely happy with the ease of uploading my large size picture (>150 MB Tiff) and to pick the best photo paper. The print arrived several days earlier than expected and looked fantastic. The resolution and colors were great and it looks wonderful in its frame.

When I have a critical photo or shots that require perfect printing, ArtisianHD is the only service I use. I am located in Houston, TX, while ArtisianHD is in Arizona; the distance is not an issue. The product is what matters, and ArtisianHD delivers every time, period.

I had a vision in mind for having one of my photos turned into a work of art. Took my a while to find someone, and Artisan Colour knocked it out of the ballpark for me! My photo needed some enhancing – including removing a bubble in the sidewall of the tire! Their work is outstanding! So happy with the finished product!

The first time I worked with Artisan Colour I brought in a big sheet of old, rusted metal and asked, “Can you print on this?” They immediately took me right back to the print shop, checked out the piece of steel and ultimately said, “No, it’s not flat enough and would probably break our machines.”

The quick answer was, “No.”

But the point here is that they didn’t sigh and shake their heads and say, “We don’t do that kind of thing.” They took the time to consider my request without rushing me out the door because they were in a hurry to get on to a large corporate customer. In fact, they said, “ Bring in a flatter piece of steel and we’ll give it a try.” Which I did, and they did print on metal, and my oddball artistic idea became a reality.

I certainly understand that there are limitations. But where Artisan is not limited is in imagination. They have that unique openness of thought that gives them the ability to work beyond arbitrary limits. Maybe more importantly, they have the creative agility to bring an artist’s concept to life.

I’m a very, very small client for ArtisanHD. They don’t make much money from my little corner of the art world, but you sure can’t tell that by the way I’m treated. The personal attention they give me is unmatched in my experience. I think they kind of like the challenges that wacky artists bring to them. The fact is, the people I’ve worked with here are artists themselves and have that wonderful openness to “what if”.

In my estimation, all business should be considered a partnership, not a transaction; a sharing of expertise, not a limiting of possibilities by pre-conceptions; a respect for what each brings to the table; a joy of being involved in the process.

To me Artisan Colour has met and exceeded what I believe a good partnership should be.

Artisan Colour recently mounted a photograph that will be included in one of my Fiber and Photograph art pieces. The photo was applied to acrylic and special holes were drilled, two processes I had done in the past but am so glad to have a professional now do.
