Artisan Colour has a Day to Remember in Old Town Scottsdale

Grand Prix of Scottsdale 2015 race car with ArtisanHD owners

On November 7, 2015, the inaugural Grand Prix of Scottsdale 2015 roared to life in the Old Town District of Scottsdale, AZ.  In celebration of the roaring ’20s, this stylish gentlemen’s race featured vintage race cars with their legacy of craftsmanship and the ladies and gentlemen who aspired to drive them.

The festivities kicked off early on Friday evening with a Gatsby-inspired gala where participants enjoyed the sights, sounds, and glamour of the 1920s while sporting timeless era-specific fashion and accouterments. It was quite a sight to be seen!

The Inaugural Grand Prix of Scottsdale 2015

The racing event was put in motion the following day with Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane leading a cheerful and exuberant crowd enjoying this first-of-its-kind event in the circuitous streets of Old Town Scottsdale. Set-up in traditional Grand Prix format, spectators could watch from both sides of the street, or watch enjoyably from the many patios of restaurants surrounding the event. Entrants included timeless European designs by Bugatti and Ferrari along with American classics from Dodge and Ford.

Grand Prix co-founder Napoleon Smith

Napoleon Smith is not only the Grand Prix co-founder but also the Executive Producer of the Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles!  He brought his famous reptilian stars with him. An estimated 10,000 people attended this free event enjoying a fun-filled afternoon of amateur racing, complimented by delightfully pleasant 80° weather.

Vehicle Graphics & More

ArtisanHD.com, a subsidiary of Artisan Colour, Inc., was a proud sponsor of the Grand Prix of Scottsdale 2015 and was the primary partner in the printing of graphics, signage, VIP passes, sales decks, event posters, barrier banners, and the alumigraphic start/finish line.

ArtisanHD also printed the vehicle graphics for the Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle race car as well as their own metallic purple race car.

Congratulations to the City of Scottsdale, local vendors, Grand Prix race teams and the family and friends who supported the Inaugural Grand Prix of Scottsdale 2015. It was one for the ages!
